A geek since 1991, I grew up in Poland obsessed with books, art, video games, folklore and anything with a good symbol hidden in it. That curiosity eventually landed me a scholarship to the United World College Red Cross Nordic in Norway with people from every corner of the world, debate club, volunteering, art journals, the whole thing. I studied philosophy, wrote my Extended Essay on the infantilisation of Japanese society (kawaii culture deserves serious academic interest, obv), and learned something that stuck: people's experiences shape how they think and what they choose. An obvious finding that keeps coming back in my work as a designer.
From there, a Davis UWC Scholars scholarship took me to Ringling College of Art and Design to study illustration. The jump to UX was natural — illustrators solve problems, just like designers do. Same process, slightly different medium. I take real pride in having started with that craft, and I still paint.
Berlin has been home for over ten years now, recently made official with a German passport. Outside of work I have an unreasonable number of hobbies: running (Munich HM, Berlin S25), yoga, pilates, miniature painting, games. And I like horses though whoever called them majestic has clearly never met one.

My motto
I believe the best design happens when ego gets out of the way. You're not designing for yourself — you're a vessel for understanding problems, using empathy, and creating meaning out of chaos. I've never chosen a project for portfolio appeal. Some of my most fascinating work has been on complex B2B problems that don't photograph well — and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Below some of the companies I had a pleasure of collaborating with.
Laurenz Reichl
CEO, Co-Founder at Blindmate
Magda has been an incredible addition to the team from the first day of joining blindmate as a freelancer over a year ago. Needless to say she's an incredibly skilled UX/UI designer who gets stuff done and is 100% reliable.
But here's what makes Magda a real pleasure to work with:
#1 She's got true dedication to quality. Once she's made sure every detail works, Magda is not shy to improve on the original briefing.
#2 Our devs love her, even though she's a designer 😊. She approaches UI design with the mindset of an engineer, making implementation of her designs a breeze.
#3 And on top, Magda is simply a great human to work with. She's fun, authentic, straightforward, and smart. Really not much more you could ask for! It's been an absolute blast working with you, looking forward to many more features together!
